Sivan Potash

Hi, I'm Sivan.

I'm Sivan Potash, a birth doula, childbirth educator, and the founder of BirthLink.

Why I built BirthLink

I've always loved turning ideas into practical tools.

As a practicing birth doula, I constantly find myself thinking about how technology can make the experience better—not by replacing the human connection, but by supporting it.

When I started exploring the new generation of AI-powered development tools, I realized it was finally possible to build ideas that had been sitting in my head for years.

One of those ideas became BirthLink.

During early labor, communication often happens through text messages, phone calls, and screenshots. I felt there should be a simpler way for a client to share what was happening, while allowing her doula to stay informed without creating extra work for either of them.

I built an early version and shared it with a few fellow doulas. Their reaction surprised me. They immediately wanted to use it with their own clients.

That's when I realized this wasn't just an interesting project—it was solving a real problem that many doulas experience.

Today, BirthLink is already supporting doulas at real births, and my goal is to make it available to doulas around the world.

"I believe the best innovations don't replace the work of a doula—they simply help her do what she already does, a little better."

BirthLink today

Used in real births — now opening globally

BirthLink is already used by doulas during real labor support. It has been tested in actual births, refined based on real feedback, and shaped by the realities of doula work.

Now BirthLink is opening to Early Access for doulas and community leaders worldwide — so more doulas can try it in their own work and help shape what it becomes.

Our Vision

Simple tools, stronger connection

Our vision is to make simple, practical tools accessible to doulas around the world — and to strengthen the communication between doulas and the families they support.

Technology should not replace the human connection at the heart of doula work. It should support it — by giving doulas clearer visibility, reducing unnecessary noise, and helping them be more present when it matters most.
